Gandy disc seeder makes quick work for food plots, gardens, waterways
Wildlife plots, gardens and other small areas can be easily tilled and seeded with the Gandy Disc Seeders available in two 4-ft. tow models, 4 and 6-ft. Category I 3-pt. hitch models, plus a 6-ft. tow model. ATVs and small tractors easily hitch to the all-electric model’s tow bar, and the unit’s electric operating system connects quickly to the vehicle’s battery. Toggle switch operation lowers the disc section to tillage position by electric actuator on the 4-ft. tow model, hydraulic cylinder on the 6-ft. tow model. An economical manual lift is available on the 4-ft. model. The seeder’s metering system is opened by hand lever and rate is adjusted by cam gauge. An electric actuator to open and close the seed hopper is optional. The standard seed agitator is operated from the toggle switch panel at the driver’s seat.
The Gandy plot disc has heavy-duty components including 16” notched discs with adjustable angle, and heavy-duty bearings. Tines at the rear ensure seeds are well incorporated into the soil, and seeding is done in one pass. To firm the seedbed, an optional rear roller is also available.
The Gandy disc seeder’s maneuverability permits towing the unit to remote fields for establishing wildlife plots, and makes seeding small landscape areas efficient. Its electric features permit use with any battery- operated vehicle with towing power. Shipping weights are approximately 700 pounds.
